As promised, some of the posts will have bilingual reading. We'll start with some Portuguese and English, and we'll see how it goes. Anyway, if you're an English speaker and don't have Google Chrome (who instantly translates the whole page - sorry for the free Google campaigning, but it's gooooood!), keep on scrolling down. The English writing will be after the Portuguese mumbling, ok? Oh, and thanks for stopping by!
Neste conheci melhor
Chiara Ferragni e seu namorado, o super simpático Richie,
Veronica Caputo, a super simpática franco-italiana
Cecile,
Veronica Ferraro,
Hanneli Mustaparta,
Jessica Weiss,
Pandora Duncan e
Irene Colzi. Também esbarrei de novo com
Diane Pernet,
Garance Doré e
Scott Schuman.

Jessica, Susie and Steve - I was too shy to ask them to pose
Conversou com Jessica durante quase todo o tempo, parecia um pouco "out of place".
Susie and Steve posing among the bloggers
Jason Campbell waits for an interview with Scott Schuman

So, the past week I've been to the Pitti Immagine in Florence and a couple of days in Milan for the menswear shows. And it's impressive on how the italian fashion world has fallen madly in love with bloggers! We in Brazil tend to think that we're always "lagging behind" on what's new and it seemed to me that trends do take their time in places. The blogging world might be quite known in the UK and the US, but it seems that continental Europe is still warming up to them.
Diane Pernet prepares her camera to take a pic of Susie and Steve
- the guy behind Ms. Pernet is Chiara's boyfriend, the lovely Richie!
And well indeed they have, as you can see from the pics above (and below).
Luisa Via Roma and
Harmont & Blaine organized events with fashion bloggers from around the world, and the "internet fashion community" was there to mark the statement that italian fashion now is also aware of the online world. You can check above all the names who were present - and the links to their blogs too.
Hanneli posing just for me!
I was pleasantly surprised on how
Chiara,
Hanneli and
Jessica were approachable and soooooo nice. None of them were "divas"; quite the contrary. Chiara talked to me for almost 5 minutes, took pics with me and yes, she is as pretty as she seems. Even more so. Hanneli posed for a long time for me (thank you!) because the lighting wasn't great, and said my pic was great (also thanks!). Jessica introduced herself as if she was an "unknown" person! Also talked with Cecile, a wonderfully dressed French girl who lives in Italy and is madly in love with vintage stuff. I didn't know her blog but fell in love the moment I saw it.
Chiara and Harmont & Blaine's head designer, Ettore Aruda
Didn't have the guts to talk to Susie Lau - if you're Susie and you're reading this, I'm the girl in glasses who couldn't stop staring. Sorry. She's as amazing as she seems (or even more!) and she's most definetely my fashion girl crush.
Chiara giving an interview - she's Italy's most prized asset nowadays
Have to give a very special thank you to Mr. Manniti and Mr. Marco Simone. They saw me outside the stand of Harmont & Blaine, approached me, asked if I was a blogger and invited me in. They were the nicest! Mr. Simone even kept me company for most of the event and introduced me to loads of people. They even said next year I'd be invited as a blogger! I hope in one year's time I'll be as successful as the bloggers invited this year so that this dream can come true.
Irene also giving an interview - her outfit was soooo impressive!
Volto com mais notícias sobre a Pitti... I'll be back with some more Pitti stories soon.
